April's Journey

This is a journal of my travels with the ministry team of Living Proof/Primary Focus. I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences and the things that God accomplishes while my team and I journey together.

Primary Focus

Spending time with kids is sometimes way more than you bargain for. Every day we perform up to four assemblies at two different schools. Occasionally we get the opportunity to have an all day school. These are my favorite! This means we perform the assembly twice, eat in the lunch room amoungst the kids, play at recess, and then spend 15-30 minutes in each classroom. The past couple of weeks in Kansas and Wyoming have been a fun and exciting start to our tour. I was taught by a third grader the process of tearing down firewalls in my computer as my casual lunch conversation, met a lot of wanna-be vets (or zoo-keepers), atheletes, teachers, doctors, and performers, signed hundreds of autographs while being asked if I worked for Disney, and I had the opportunity to see smiles come to the faces of children who came to school hurting that morning because of the homes they were coming from. It's the hardest work I've ever had to do because it makes for the longest days, but it's the most rewarding as well.
